Calling all young aspiring performers aged 8-13! Are you ready to shine on stage and unleash your inner star power? Look no further than Whitby Courthouse Theatre’s exciting new summer theatre program!

This 2-week musical theatre intensive gives youth Ages 8-13 the opportunity to experience what it’s like to put together and perform a full 60-minute musical. In addition to rehearsing with a director, musical director, and choreographer, participants will get to partake in workshops led by some of Durham’s best in a variety of theatre-related fields such as stage management, lighting design and audition preparation.

This program is perfect for anyone with a passion for singing, dancing, performing, or theatre. Whether you're a seasoned performer or stepping onto the stage for the first time, there's a place for you to flourish and thrive in our inclusive and supportive environment. WCT is dedicated to ensuring that all members and participants feel welcome and accepted.

Age
Our Summer Youth Theatre Program is open to anybody born from 2011 to 2016 who has a passion for singing, dancing, performing, or theatre!

Fees
Whitby Courthouse Theatre is dedicated to keeping theatre accessible, and program fees are kept low. The current program fee is $450.

Those wishing to access Financial Aid should do so as soon as possible so a spot can be reserved while the application is completed.

Previous Experience/Audition
We want all kids to have the opportunity to learn, without barriers, so for that reason there is no audition to join. There are also no formal experience requirements.
All participants are expected to be well-mannered, eager to learn, and respectful of others in accordance with our Code of Conduct.
