Whitby Courthouse Theatre invites applications for our summer jobs to support the operation and success of our community theatre and our education programming.
Our popular Summer Education Program runs for 4 weeks in July. Participants in the program range from ages 8-17. Over the course of ten days, they will hone their acting, vocal, and movement skills as they work together to rehearse and stage a complete musical. The session culminates in a live performance on the Whitby Courthouse Theatre stage, giving every student the chance to showcase their hard work for family and friends. We are looking for energetic, theatre-loving individuals to fill our summer staff positions. If you are passionate about arts education and want to spend your summer inspiring the next generation of performers, we want to hear from you!
This year, we are hiring for six positions, some of which are funded by the Government of Canada through the Canada Summer Jobs program.

All youth are welcome to apply. We encourage youth who face barriers to employment to apply, including racialized and Black youth, youth with disabilities and 2SLGBTQI+ youth. If you require accommodation or assistance with your application, please do not hesitate to reach out to President Amanda Walchuk at awalchuk@whitbytheatre.ca.
