Spring Education Program

This spring, Whitby Courthouse Theatre invites aspiring performers aged 11 to 17 to join our intensive, high-energy Spring Education Program. Whether you're looking to sharpen your comedic timing or master the art of the audition, this 8-week course is designed to elevate your craft in a supportive, professional environment.  

Under the expert guidance of Co-Directors Andrew Finlan and Scott Barnes, participants will explore improvisation, sketch comedy, monologue writing and performance with audition techniques integrated into the program so that you are prepared to walk into a casting room or onto a stage with confidence.  

  • Ages: 11 – 17 (Grades 6-12, born between 2008 and 2014) 

  • Dates: Saturday mornings, March 28th – May 16th (8 weeks) 

  • Time: 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. 

  • Final Showcase: Saturday, May 16th at 7:00 p.m.  

A special performance for family and friends! 

  • Cost: $250 per participant 

Attendance Policy 

To ensure the quality of the ensemble and the success of our final performance, consistent attendance is vital. 

Please Note: Any participant with three (3) unexcused absences will be withdrawn from the program. In the event of withdrawal due to absences, no refunds will be issued.
